Thirty seven people have reviewed this company. Thirty six gave it five stars.
Six years of reviews, and one of them is not a five. What makes that worth reading is not the average, it is what people wrote underneath it. The same things keep coming back: reasonable pricing, workmanship, polite staff, a door that got quieter, and a company that answered.
The clearest one is from a customer who had been fighting garage problems since buying her home. She wrote that Ricky tried every cost effective option he could before saying she needed a new motor, which most companies would not have done. When the motor finally was the answer, it got replaced and the door ran smooth and quiet.
Another customer had a different company tell her she needed things she did not need. She called here instead, and the door was fixed and serviced for under two hundred dollars. Both of those are the same company doing the same thing: finding the actual fault before selling anything.

Why 36 of them are fives.
36 of 37 reviews are five stars
Not an average that rounds up. Six years of reviews and one of them is not a five.
The cheap fix gets tried first
A customer wrote that Ricky tried every cost effective option he could before saying the motor needed replacing, which most companies would not have done.
The spring gets sized to your door
A good door on the wrong spring makes the opener do the lifting, and the opener loses. It is the most common thing we find on somebody else's install.
You get told when you are being upsold
Another company told one customer she needed things she did not need. She called here, and the door was fixed and serviced for under two hundred dollars.
Calls, texts and email, not just an office line
A customer wrote that being able to reach us three ways was huge, because so many companies slow everything down to one channel.
Balance and safety reverse tested before we leave
The door gets lifted by hand with the opener disconnected, the photo eyes get aligned, and the reverse gets tested against an object on the floor.
How a job actually runs
Loud, stuck, closing then reopening, dropped on one side. The symptom narrows it down before anyone drives out.
A bind at one height is track. A shudder off the floor is a roller or a hinge. Guessing costs you twice.
Named, with why it failed, plus anything worn but still working so you can decide rather than be told.
Balance by hand, photo eyes aligned, safety reverse tested. Then you get shown how to disconnect it yourself for the day the power goes out.

Every quote below is a real review, word for word, from our Google profile.
I have been using Entrance Masters for almost 2 years, and from the first encounter the service has been absolutely fantastic. I had been having the worst issues with my garage since the recent purchase of my home, and they have been there every step of the way working to try to figure out the issue. Ricky tried every cost effective option he could before just saying you need to replace the motor, which most companies would not have. The motor was replaced a week ago along with some other updates and my garage closes and opens as it should and it is so smooth and quiet now.
When our residential gate stopped working I called them for a quote. Ricky was extremely responsive (even though he was out of town). He quickly scheduled his tech to come out and within a couple of hours he had our gate working again. He also replaced sensors on a garage door that had not been working properly for a couple of years. Once Ricky was back in town he scheduled to come back and button up a couple of loose ends and bring us some much needed clickers for the gate. Fantastic experience, excellent communication, skilled workmanship, extremely reasonable pricing.
We interviewed two garage door companies. The prices were very close however we chose Entrance Masters Garage Door and Gate Co. after reading great reviews and because it was important that they are local. We had many questions and they kindly and quickly responded. Also the delivery was on time and install quick. We have planned for a garage door for 20+ years and they helped us make our dream come true.
Tim Johnson repaired our garage door today. He went directly to the problem and fixed it. Then, he serviced moveable parts with lubricant. During all of this he talked with my wife and I explaining the various aspects of good garage door maintenance. His service was beyond expectations. We have been caught before with service people and it makes you wary. Tim Johnson spoke highly of his boss and it means that we are going to mention Entrance Masters to all our neighbors.
Great service and very reasonable! After another company told me I needed things I didn't need, I called Ricky and he came out and not only fixed it but did maintenance too, all for under 200 bucks. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family!
Our garage door looks amazing and Ricky provided top notch customer service. First he was willing to communicate via calls, text and email. This itself is huge. So many companies today want you calling the office and email only which slows production and communication. Next he really laid out all the options and explained them in great detail. Once we narrowed down to two, Ricky went above and beyond really going over pros and cons of both. The install went quick and on time just as he stated. A few days after install he shoots me a text to confirm we're happy.

Yes. Most repair calls are on somebody else's door and it does not change what gets checked.
That is almost always the photo eyes either side of the opening, out of alignment or with something in front of one. If they are clean and lined up, the next thing is the opener's down force setting.
That is a broken lift cable. Do not try to lift it and do not take the bottom bracket off. The spring is still fully loaded and that bracket is the part that hurts people. Call and leave it where it is.
Most of the time it is a part. Springs, cables, rollers, hinges, sensors and track are all replaceable and a door with straight sound sections is worth keeping. If the honest answer is that the door is finished, you get told that with the reason.
Usually rollers or hinges, sometimes a spring on its way out. One customer wrote that after a spring job their door had never sounded quieter, which is the normal outcome once the worn part comes off it.
A garage door lithium or silicone lubricant on hinges, rollers, springs and bearings. Not WD-40, which strips grease rather than replacing it, and not on the track.
Yes, gates are half the company name. Swing and slide operators, repairs, safety loops, keypads and remotes. Release the operator and try the gate by hand before you call, because whether it moves freely tells us if the fault is mechanical or electrical.
